Overview
Practice Subscriptions lets an organization turn optional, paid add-on modules — on or off for the entire practice. Enabling a module starts a monthly subscription billed to a card on file; disabling a module cancels that subscription. Changes made here apply to every provider in the organization.
Before you begin
At least one valid payment card should be on file for the practice. If none is on file, you can add one from within the Subscribe dialog.
Changes apply immediately to every provider in the organization — confirm with your team before unsubscribing from an active module.
Fields reference
Field | Required | Notes |
Module status badge | — | One of: Active (green), Pending (yellow, activation in progress), Cancelled (red, subscription ended), or Not subscribed (gray). While a cancellation is in progress but access is still active, the row shows "Ends [date]" instead. |
Payment method | Yes (when subscribing) | Select an existing practice card on file, or add a new one inline if none are available. |
Plan / price | — | Monthly price for the module, pulled from your organization's subscription catalog. Read-only. |
Due today | — | Amount charged immediately to the selected card when you confirm Subscribe. |
How to Subscribe to a Module
Go to Administration > Practices subscriptions.
Locate the module you want to enable. Modules that are not yet billed show the Not subscribed badge.
Select Subscribe on that module's row.
In the Subscribe to [Module] dialog, choose a payment method from the cards on file. If no practice payment methods are on file, add one — see Adding a Payment Method for Module Subscriptions.
Review the plan summary — start date, next charge date, and amount due today.
Select Subscribe · $[price]/mo to confirm. This button stays disabled until a card is selected.
Result: The selected card is charged today and on the same day each month until the practice unsubscribes. The module becomes available to every provider in the organization immediately, and the module's badge changes to Active.
How to Unsubscribe from a Module
Go to Administration > Practices subscriptions.
Locate the active module (badge shows Active).
Select Unsubscribe on that module's row.
Read the confirmation dialog. If a renewal date is known, it reads: "Your practice keeps full access until [date] — that's [N] days of the current billing period. After that date the module is switched off for all providers and you will not be billed again."
Select Unsubscribe to confirm, or Keep subscription to cancel the action.
Result: The practice keeps full access to the module until the end of the current billing period. The row updates to show "Ends [date]" during this grace period. After that date, the module is switched off for all providers automatically, the badge changes to Cancelled, and the practice is not billed again for it.
Reviewing Your Practice's Modules
The Practice Subscriptions screen lists every available add-on module with its current status and monthly price. A summary panel shows the combined status of your modules and a Billing settings button that switches to the Payment section of Administration.
Best practices
Confirm with your care team before unsubscribing from an active module — access is not revoked immediately, but it will be at the end of the current billing period.
Keep your practice's payment card up to date to avoid failed renewal charges; a failed payment can result in the module being disabled.
If you plan to re-enable a module later, note the date shown in the Unsubscribe dialog — it determines when the module actually turns off.
Watch for the Ends [date] label — it means a cancellation was already confirmed and is only counting down the remaining access window.
