Configure Operating Hours

Use Operating Hours to define when an organization location is open for each day of the week. Operating hours appear in the scheduling calendar and restrict when appointments can be booked. You can mark days as closed or add multiple time windows per day

Open the Administration panel for the organization

From the main navigation, go to Organizations and find the organization you want to configure. Click the organization row to open it, then select the Administration tab.

Go to the Operating Hours section

Inside the Administration panel, select the Operating Hours section. The page displays the heading "What days/times during a week is this location usually open?" followed by a row for each day of the week.

The days are listed in the following order:

  • Monday

  • Tuesday

  • Wednesday

  • Thursday

  • Friday

  • Saturday

  • Sunday

Mark a day as open or closed

Each day has a Closed checkbox beneath the day name.

  • When the Closed checkbox is checked, no time slots are shown for that day. The day is treated as a closed day.

  • When the Closed checkbox is unchecked, the system adds a default time slot for that day with Opening time set to 08:00 AM and Closing time set to 08:00 PM.

Click the Closed checkbox to toggle between open and closed states for any day.

Edit the opening and closing times

For each time slot on an open day, two time fields are shown:

  • Opening time โ€” the time the location opens for that slot

  • Closing time โ€” the time the location closes for that slot

Click the time field to edit it. Times are entered in 12-hour or 24-hour format depending on your system locale. If a time value is invalid, the field shows Invalid value inline and the form cannot be submitted until it is corrected.

Note: The closing time must be later than the opening time on the same slot, otherwise the field will show Invalid value.

Add or remove time slots for a day

A location can have more than one operating window on the same day, for example a morning session and an afternoon session.

  • To add a time slot to a day, click the + (plus) button that appears after the last slot for that day. A new slot is added below the existing one with the same default times.

  • To remove a time slot, click the trash icon next to the slot you want to delete. The trash icon is only visible when a day has more than one slot.

Note: When multiple slots exist for the same day, the opening time of each subsequent slot must be later than the closing time of the previous slot. If slots overlap, the overlapping fields show Invalid value.

Save the changes

When all days are configured correctly, click the Update button at the bottom of the form.

On success, a notification banner appears briefly with the message "Hours of operation updated successfully!" The page stays open with the saved values.

Result: After clicking Update, a confirmation banner reading "Hours of operation updated successfully!" appears. The new hours are immediately reflected in the scheduling calendar for the organization.

Best practices

  • Use multiple time slots for split-shift schedules. If the location closes for a midday break, add two time slots (e.g., 8:00 AMโ€“12:00 PM and 1:00 PMโ€“5:00 PM) rather than one continuous window.

  • Verify closing time is after opening time. The form will show Invalid value if any slot has a closing time at or before its opening time. Resolve all errors before clicking Update.

  • Mark closed days explicitly. Leaving a day without the Closed checkbox checked creates a default open slot. Explicitly check Closed for any day the location is not operating.
